My name is Rebecca and I’ve been working as a SpLD assessor since 2012 in colleges, universities and workplaces. I have always worked in post 16 education (Adult Community Education, Further Education and Higher Education) where I have delivered study skills support and have taught many subjects such as literacy, ADHD awareness, autism awareness and academic skills.
I set up Wild Assessments as I wanted to provide accessible SpLD assessments and help people to be aware of their strengths and to understand themselves more. As someone with dyscalculia, I understand how it feels to be neurodivergent and this empathy helps me to appreciate the challenges that some people may experience.
Having an assessment can unlock a greater understanding of how you learn, why you find certain things difficult and what can be done to help you. Any kind of assessment can be stressful, so I aim to make the experience as relaxed as possible!
